Dr Siobhan Gannon
Siobhan Gannon is a Periodontist (gum specialist) registered with AHPRA. She completed her general dentist degree in 2006 at the University of Queensland. She worked as a general dentist in private practice for a number of years before undertaking a three year long postgraduate Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics at the University of Adelaide, which she completed in 2012.
Siobhan was awarded the F.G. Christensen Prize for the highest marks achieved in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Primary Examination.
Siobhan has worked in specialist periodontal practice since 2013, and provides comprehensive, personalised periodontal treatment to her patients. Outside of work, Siobhan stays busy with her young family.
Dr Thomas Briggs
Dr Thomas Briggs completed his undergraduate training at James Cook University and was part of the first cohort to graduate in 2013. Tom undertook a scholarship from the Australian Army and was a General Dentist from 2014-2019, until he took up his postgraduate training in Periodontology at the University of Queensland graduating in 2022. Tom continues to serve as a Senior Dental Officer in the Australian Army and is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Queensland where he lectures under and post graduate students.
Tom is a member of ASP, ANZAP, ITI, AOS and a member of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons. Tom prides himself on providing personalised periodontal care and ensuring that he works together with his patients to achieve the best treatment outcomes. Outside of his periodontal work, Tom’s interests include watching sport and spending time with his wife Tiana.
Dr Lisetta Lam
Dr. Lisetta Lam graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry with First-class Honours from the University of Adelaide in 2005. She practiced general dentistry in Brisbane for several years before pursuing further study in Master of Dental Surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Hong Kong. After returning to Brisbane, Lisetta completed her specialist training in the field of Periodontology from the University of Queensland in 2018. Lisetta takes great satisfaction in providing the highest level of periodontal and implant therapy for her patients with a gentle and caring approach. She is a member of Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, Australian Society of Periodontist and International Team for Implantology and a part-time lecturer for postgraduate training at University of Queensland.
Dr Troy McGowan
Troy graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in immunology from the Australian National University in 2004. He then completed his dental degree at Griffith University, before joining the Royal Australian Air Force as a Dental Officer. He has been posted to Air Force bases in Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory, and was part of a multi-national humanitarian aid mission to Tonga in 2013. Troy undertook his specialist periodontal training at Griffith University, graduating in 2017 and has worked as a RAAF periodontist since then. In 2017 Troy was awarded the ASPQ Professor GJ Seymour & Professor MP Cullinan Research Medallion for his research on dental implants.
Outside of work Troy manages his youngest son’s soccer team, and loves cooking and gardening with his wife.
Dr Jenny Wang
Dr Jenny Wang completed her dental degree with honours at the University of Queensland in 2010. After several years working exclusively in private practice, she was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) in 2018. She later completed her three-year specialist training in Periodontics at the University of Queensland, where she was actively involved in clinical research, resulting in publications in peer-reviewed journals and multiple awards.
Jenny is known for her approachable manner and places strong emphasis on ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and comfortable throughout their periodontal care. She values collaborative treatment planning to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
Outside of work Jenny enjoys listening to podcasts and spending time with her young family.
